The most pinned DIY Iron Pipe Coffee Table in the world!

We've made two standard versions of this kit:

SMALL - 14.5 High x 17.75" Wide x 38.5 Long (suits a top of about 46.5" x 25.5" or larger) (Uses 2x 18"x1.00", 4x 4"x1.00"and 8x 6"x1.25")

LARGE - 16.5 High x 22.5" Wide x 50.5 Long (suits a top of about 60" x 30" or larger) (Uses 2x 24"x1.00", 4x 6"x1.00"and 8x 7"x1.25")

Note: If you are looking for the fittings only (and cut your own pipe to length) then check out the fittings only kit

Note: the standard kit is all the parts for the base, not the top.

CUSTOMIZE THIS KIT  If you'd like us to put together a custom version, we can change any dimension, provide wood for the top in any finish (or unfinished), and finish the iron parts in many colours.  Just ask through the feedback form or Contact Us page.

The dimensions shown are for the total height of the legs (without any top), and the width and length calculated from the center of each leg.  Your top will add to the overall height and the overhang of the width and length.

All the pipe and fittings, cut to length, deburred, degreased, and painted.  Just screw it all together and add a top of your choice.  YOU CAN make this table with just a few basic hand tools.

We split the original stretcher into two pipes joined with a coupler. This makes the shipping box much smaller and that reduces the shipping price.

Remember these dimensions are just the base.  Your top will need to be bigger to cover the flanges and add a bit of overhang.

You will also need 16x #10 screws to attach the base to the top.  The length depends on how thick your table top is.  Ideally the screw should be about 3/4 of the thickness of the table top so that it does not go all the way through, but is still a solid anchor.

The only tools you need are a pencil a drill and a screwdriver.

Place the table top upside down on the floor, place the assembled base upside down (actually it's same either way up) on top of the base.  Line it up so that it has equal spacing all round.  Then mark the four holes in each flange onto the wood, being very careful that the base does not move.  Remove the base and drill all 16 holes (1/8" for hardwood or 3/32" for softwood), being super careful to keep the drill vertical and not to drill all the way through!  Place the base back on, align all the holes and screw the flanges down.  Turn it over and you're done!

(for reference the original Locker table was 13.75" High x 21.25" Wide x 50.75" Long).

    Locker coffee table

This table is great. Putting together the base was easy and fun. For the top, we got pine plywood from Home Depot and had them cut it to the right width in the store. Staining the wood was easy. The stained top came out looking fantastic IMHO. It has been a pleasure to work with Jethro and we are ordering more tables in this style. This relatively simple DYI - with Jethro having already done the hard work to prepare the pipes - is perfect for the summer months when it is extraordinarily hot in my garage/workshop here in sunny Arizona.

The online experience was excellent, all the parts were delivered. It's my 8 year old that build it. He said it was like building lego blocks! The look of this table is amazing!

Exactly what I wanted, easy to assemble. So glad I sprung for this kit. After spending about $10 on knotty pine for the top, I consider this a bargain for a coffee table that I love.
